Subject: Resolution Recognizing the Borough of Oakmont on its 125th Anniversary
 
I plan to introduce a resolution to recognize the Borough of Oakmont on its 125th anniversary.

Oakmont is located in northeastern Allegheny County, and was officially incorporated as a borough on March 4, 1889. It quickly became a center of commerce and recreation along the Allegheny River. To this day, Oakmont is a vibrant community.

The Borough of Oakmont is holding its quasquicentennial celebration throughout 2014, and many community activities are planned. Please join me in recognizing Oakmont on this important anniversary.
