Subject: | Co-Sponsorship: Resolution recognizing the week of October 1 through October 7, 2017 as “Financial Planning Week” in Pennsylvania |
In the coming days, I plan to introduce a Resolution recognizing the week of October 1 through October 7, 2017 as “Financial Planning Week” in Pennsylvania. Each year, the House of Representatives affirms the value of financial literacy, consumer education and professional outreach by representatives of the financial services industry. The Financial Planning Association is a nationwide network of advocates and public educators who provide financial planning services and pro-bono financial counseling for those in need. In addition, the Financial Planning Association strives to uphold the value in establishing long-term financial stability and identifying useful personal financial habits which are integral in building and sustaining strong families throughout this Commonwealth. With that said, responsible financial planning, awareness, and access to trusted advice is key to helping to educate our constituencies all across this great Commonwealth. As such, it is with these reasons in mind and more that I am offering this Resolution. If you have any questions, please contact my Research Analyst -- Takesha Latham at 717-787-3480 or via email at tlatham@pahouse.net. |
