MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 14, 2018 03:15 PM
From: Representative Frank Burns
To: All House members
Subject: Declaring May 1, 2018 as Law Day in Pennsylvania Resolution

In the very near future, I plan to introduce a resolution designating May 1, 2018 as “Law Day” in Pennsylvania. The theme for this year’s celebration is Separation of Powers: Framework for Freedom.

This event has been designated as a day to educate people of all ages about the legal system and to celebrate liberty, justice and equality. We will teach our children about the importance of civil and human rights and promoting equality for all under the law.

Pennsylvania observes Law Day by focusing on our children from Kindergarten through college levels. Our judges and lawyers visit with our schools educating our children about their legal rights and responsibilities.
