Subject: | National Medical Assistants Recognition Week |
In the near future, I will introduce a resolution to recognize and thank a profession that does important work within the medical community, but typically receives little recognition and praise. The resolution will provide a bit of appreciation to medical assistants who help in the healing process on a daily basis by designating October 15 through 19, 2018 as “National Medical Assistants Recognition Week” in Pennsylvania. Both the American Medical Technologists (AMT) and the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) recognize the week of October 15 through 19, 2018 as National Medical Assistants Recognition Week to promote the important work and efforts of medical assistants throughout the country. This work includes a multitude of administrative and clinical tasks that increase medical office productivity and provide efficient and caring service to all patients. For these reasons, I believe medical assistants are worthy of our recognition and praise. I hope you will join me in showing your appreciation for the thousands of medical assistants in the Commonwealth by cosponsoring and supporting the resolution. |
