Senate of Pennsylvania
Session of 2021 - 2022 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: September 29, 2022 11:57 AM
From: Senator Devlin J. Robinson
To: All Senate members
Subject: Afghanistan and Iraq Veteran License Plate

In the near future, I will introduce legislation to honor Pennsylvania veterans who have served in both Afghanistan and Iraq during their military service by providing the opportunity to apply for a special license plate.

Currently, Pennsylvania only offers Afghanistan, or Iraq, veteran license plates. Since both conflicts happened concurrently, many veterans in the Commonwealth would have served in both theaters. I was proud to be among these many brave men and women during my service in the United States Marine Corps, and I believe it is important to honor my fellow service members with the ability to obtain an “Afghanistan and Iraq Veteran” license plate.

To receive this plate, applicants must provide proper documentation and a fee of $20 to the Department of Transportation.

Please join me in honoring these individuals for their service and sacrifices by co-sponsoring this legislation.

Introduced as SB1356
