Subject: | Liquor Control Enforcement |
Upon our return to Session, I will be introducing a Bill which increases the power of Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, (“LCE”) for the purpose of protecting the public and reducing nuisance establishments. As it stands in current law, the LCE does not have any authority to suspend a license to protect neighboring businesses and residential properties that have to deal with illegal activities. My Bill would provide the ability for the LCE to suspend a liquor license immediately upon certain conditions. The suspension requires and Administrative hearing of the suspension within certain time frames with document proof of stated conditions. The Legislation was introduced in the last Session as House Bill 1519. Co-sponsors of the Bill were: CLYMER, KOTIK, HENNESSEY, COHEN, DEASY, JOSEPHS, KAVULICH, READSHAW, WAGNER AND YOUNGBLOOD |
