Subject: | Early Voting |
I will be introducing legislation, in the near future, that would provide for early voting in Pennsylvania. It is my hope that this will end long lines at the polls which oftentimes cause voters to wait for extended periods of time. My legislation proposes that voting begin 15 days before Election Day and end on the second day before Election Day. A similar bill, House Bill 1001, was introduced by Auditor General-Elect DePasquale last session. Co-sponsors of House Bill 1001 from last session included CALTAGIRONE, COHEN, GERBER, GIBBONS, JOSEPHS, KAVULICH, MANN, SANTARSIERO AND CONKLIN.
