Subject: Alternative Fuels Tax Reduction (Former HB 558)
 
In light of rising energy costs, this legislation will reduce the tax on alternative fuels by six cents on the gallon. According to recent House Policy Committee hearings, a reduction of at least five cents on the gallon of the alternative fuels tax would be sufficient to encourage the development of a supply chain for alternative fuels.
