House of Representatives
Session of 2013 - 2014 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 31, 2013 04:30 PM
From: Representative Harry Readshaw
To: All House members
Subject: Resolution: St. David's Day (March 1, 2013)

When we return for Session, I will be introducing a Resolution declaring March 1, 2013 as “Saint David’s Day” in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

During the 19th century, large numbers of people came from Wales and settled in Pennsylvania seeking employment in every field of industry and commerce. To celebrate the proud heritage of the Welsh, March 1st is traditionally observed as “Saint David’s Day” to mark the life of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales.

If you have any questions on this Resolution, please contact Margaret Tricarico at mtricari@pahouse.net or 717-772-5568 (Democratic Caucus Ext. 6168).

Thank you.
