Subject: Resolution Designating the week of March 10-16, 2013 as "Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week" in Pennsylvania
 
Pulmonary disease is the third leading cause of death in our nation and fourth leading cause of death in Pennsylvania. Pulmonary rehabilitation is a broad program that helps improve the well-being of people who have chronic breathing problems and can improve one's quality of life and ability to function.

With the observation of "Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week" the House of Representatives calls special attention to the dedicated professionals who promote the dissemination of information about pulmonary disease, its prevention and rehabilitation; and the dedicated pulmonary specialists of Pennsylvania and the strides made to conquer lung disease.

Therefore, in the near future, I will be introducing a resolution recognizing the week of March 10-16, 2013 as "Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week" in Pennsylvania.
