Subject: Reinstate wrestling as an Olympic sport
 
When we return to session in March, I will introduce a resolution urging the International Olympic Committee to reconsider their decision to drop wrestling as an Olympic sport and reinstate it at the earliest possible date. Other states have great wrestling traditions but Pennsylvania is truly the Keystone of wrestling in the United States. Many of our High School wrestlers are highly recruited by major colleges across the United States and Penn State is currently the two time defending national champion at the Division I NCAA level.

I believe it is proper that a state with our rich wrestling tradition communicate our strong support for wrestling remaining an Olympic sport. Please join me in sponsoring this resolution.
