Subject: | Resolution Recognizing the 100th Anniversary of Sons of Italy, Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing the 100th Anniversary of Sons of Italy, Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania in April 2013. The Order Sons of Italy (OSIA) is the largest and oldest national organization of men and women who represent the estimated 26 million Americans of Italian heritage and is dedicated to promoting the culture, traditions, language, and the legacy of their ancestors, as well as their contributions to the U.S. and the world. The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, founded in 1913, has many Sons of Italy Lodges throughout the Commonwealth that meet regularly for social and community oriented activities, five of which are celebrating their 100th anniversary in the order. Please join me in encouraging the General Assembly to recognize the 100th anniversary of the Sons of Italy, Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania in April 2013 in celebration of all the Italian American community has accomplished in the Commonwealth. |
