Subject:	May 2013 as "Blue Star Mothers of America Month" in PA

In the very near future, we will be introducing a resolution recognizing May 2013 as “Blue Star Mothers of America Month” in Pennsylvania. The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc was founded as a patriotic service organization in 1942 to unite mothers who had sons or daughters in the United States Armed Forces. The Blue Star Mothers organization is comprised of mothers and stepmothers who have sons or daughters who are currently serving in the United States military or who are honorably discharged veterans. The work of the Blue Star Mothers includes providing support for active duty service personnel and their families, promoting patriotism and assisting various veterans’ organizations. Please consider joining us in recognizing the Blue Star Mothers organization for their dedication, sacrifice and hard work. The text of the resolution is attached for your information.
