Subject: June 2013 as "Cockayne Syndrome Awareness Month"
 
I plan to introduce a resolution designating June 2013 as "Cockayne Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

Cockayne Syndrome is a genetic disorder passed on to children through their parents, each of whom carries a mutation in one of two genes. If affects multiple organ systems and other body parts, including the nervous and digestive systems as well as the ears, eyes, teeth and liver. There is no cure for this Syndrome.
