Subject: | Resolution Celebrating 190th Anniversary of Honey Brook United Methodist Church |
In the near future, I am planning to introduce a resolution honoring the 190th Anniversary of the Honey Brook United Methodist Church of the town of Honey Brook, which is located in Chester County, Pennsylvania. The Honey Brook United Methodist Church is celebrating its 190th Anniversary during the year of 2013. As the oldest institution in the town of Honey Brook, this church started in 1823, as devoted followers began by meeting in each other’s homes. The church building was first constructed in the 1840s, and its sanctuary was built in 1902. Other modernizations followed as the church continued to serve its members and the community, leading up to nearly two centuries of purposeful endeavor. The church is a friendly, welcoming community of believers, as expressly symbolized by the semi-circular pews in its sanctuary. On Sunday, April 21, 2013, the church began this year’s events by honoring members who have been a part of the church for more than 50 years. Additional events are planned throughout the year to celebrate this special anniversary. |
