Subject: Designating September 3, 2013 as “University of Pittsburgh Day” in Pennsylvania
 

In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution designating September 3, 2013 as “University of Pittsburgh Day” in Pennsylvania.

The University of Pittsburgh was founded in 1787 and is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the United States having celebrated its 225th anniversary in 2012. This university is one of the most distinguished, comprehensive universities in the United States and has campuses in Pittsburgh, Bradford, Greensburg, Johnston and Titusville. It is also one of the country’s leading research universities.

I would greatly appreciate your support of this resolution. Thank you for your consideration.
