MEMORANDUM

Posted: September 25, 2013 04:45 PM
From: Representative Brandon P. Neuman
To: All House members
Subject: Resolution designating October 26, 2013 as "Make a Difference Day" in Pennsylvania

In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution designating October 26, 2013 as “Make a Difference Day” in Pennsylvania.

For more than 20 years, USA Weekend Magazine and the Points of Light Foundation have joined together to sponsor “Make a Difference Day”, the largest national day of community service. Thousands of projects are planned each year involving corporations, communities, nonprofit organizations, entire states and individuals.

Millions of self-sacrificing individuals touch and enhance the lives of others on “Make a Difference Day” by giving where there are needs, rebuilding what has been torn down, teaching where there is a desire to learn and inspiring those who have lost hope. The purpose of my resolution is to recognize “Make a Difference Day” and to encourage all Pennsylvanians to utilize their time and talents to help those in need in our communities.

Please consider joining me in helping raise awareness of the strengths of volunteer services in our communities by designating October 26, 2013 as “Make a Difference Day” in Pennsylvania.
