Subject: Resolution - Honoring Darren Miller - First American Male to Complete the Ocean's Seven Challenge

In the near future, I am planning to introduce a resolution honoring Darren Miller, a resident of Delmont, Pennsylvania, and the first American male to complete the Ocean's Seven Challenge.

Mr. Miller has remained dedicated to a strict training regimen to prepare for the difficult Ocean's Seven Challenge of seven long-distance swims at various channels around the world: a 21-mile swim of the English Channel, a 21-mile swim of the Catalina Channel, a 27-mile swim of the Molokai Channel, a 10-mile swim of the Strait of Gibraltar, a 13-mile swim of the Tsugaru Channel, a 20-mile swim of the Cook Strait, and a 21-mile swim of the North Channel.

Through Mr. Miller's swims, he raises charitable contributions for Team Forever and the Forever Fund, two charitable organizations dedicated to helping families offset the expensive costs of infant cardiothoracic surgeries that take place at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

This resolution is to honor the athletic, motivational and charitable achievements of Mr. Darren Miller.
