Subject: Resolution Recognizing March 13, 2014 as “Registered Dietitians Day” in Pennsylvania.
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing March 13, 2014 as “Registered Dietitians Day” in Pennsylvania.

Each year the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recognizes March 13 as National Registered Dietitians Day. The purpose of this observance is to focus on helping people make informed food choices and to develop sound eating and physical activity habits. In addition, National Registered Dietitians Day recognizes the work of dietitians and their efforts to make and keep Americans healthy.

To correspond with this important event, my resolution recognizes March 13, 2014, as “Registered Dietitians Day” in Pennsylvania. In addition, this resolution recognizes the Pennsylvania Dietetic Association and its members, and any other dietitians in the Commonwealth for their work to promote good nutrition, good eating and quality living for Pennsylvanians.
