Subject: AMERICAN RED CROSS MONTH RESOLUTION
 
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution that designates the month of March, 2014 as “American Red Cross Month” in Pennsylvania. The PA Chapter of the American Red Cross, particularly through its “Extended Care Program,” has assisted thousands of Pennsylvania citizens who were the victims of fire, floods or other disasters. This past year, with multiple snowstorms and record cold temperatures, there has been an increase in house fires and other emergency situations which have led to the displacement of many families. The PA Chapter of the American Red Cross has performed most admirably in these devastating times, and we, the citizens of this Commonwealth, are truly grateful for this organization’s dedicated service.
