Subject: October 7 as Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day
 
Shortly we will be introducing a Resolution recognizing October 7, 2014 as Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day.

Trigeminal Neuralgia is characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face and is also called the "suicide disease."

It is estimated that 1 in 20,000 people suffer from this though those figures may be higher due to misdiagnosis. Women are more likely than men to be affected.

Thank you for your consideration and possible support to raise awareness of Trigeminal Neualgia.
