Subject: Condolence Resolution honoring the life of Volunteer Firefighter Colin Reedy
 
I will soon introduce a Condolence Resolution honoring the life and service of West Whiteland Firefighter, Colin Reedy, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident while responding to an emergency call on October 20, 2023.

Colin was a hardworking and dedicated volunteer firefighter; he was always eager to learn which made him an invaluable member of the team. By all accounts, he was a caring, respectful, generous, and downright exceptional young man.

Colin died while selflessly serving the citizens of Chester County. The unimaginable loss is felt across the community, especially by his family, colleagues, and friends. It also reinforces the vital role of our volunteer firefighters, and reminder us of the ongoing risks all our emergency first responders face in their important work to keep our communities safe.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this condolence resolution to honor the life of an exceptional first responder.
