Career

Senator Jimmy Dillon was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. He graduated from Our Lady of Calvary School and Holy Ghost Preparatory School before attending the University of Notre Dame on a basketball scholarship. He is the father of two daughters, Reese and Aubrey, and the director of the Hoops 24-7 Basketball Academy. Senator Dillon worked for the School District of Philadelphia as a grant compliance monitor prior to winning his Senate seat in the Spring of 2022. Recognizing his commitment to youth sports, Senator Dillon was appointed to the Pennsylvania Athletic Oversight Committee (PAOC) by Senate Democratic Leader Jay Costa in January 2023. Through his position, he vigorously advocates for the well-being and success of Pennsylvania's young athletes.
