Subject: | Right to Hunt & Fish (Former HB 575) |
In the near future I plan to reintroduce former HB 575, a joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide for the right to hunt, fish and harvest game. Voters in over 13 states, including neighboring Virginia and New York have adopted or are considering constitutional amendments guaranteeing the right to hunt and fish. Many more are considering adoption, and two states have the right guaranteed in statute. This legislation passed in the House as former HB 1512 during the 2003-2004 session by a vote of 189-11 FORMER COSPONSORS: BAKER, BENNINGHOFF, BOBACK, CALTAGIRONE, CAUSER, CONKLIN, CUTLER, DENLINGER, EVANS, EVERETT, FLECK, GABLER, GEORGE, GIBBONS, GILLESPIE, GODSHALL, GOODMAN, GRELL, GROVE, HAHN, HARHAI, HARRIS, HESS, HICKERNELL, KAUFFMAN, M.
