Subject: Proposed Resolution - Designating August 2013 as Native American Awareness Month
 


In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution designating August 2013 as “Native American Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.

The Thunder Mountain Lenape is an organization of persons who share the Native American heritage of the Lenape. They will be having a Native American Festival in my district on August 17 and 18.

Please join me if you would like to support the effort to increase public awareness of indigenous peoples’ cultural heritage and place in today’s society. Thank you.
