Subject: | Resolution Celebrating the Linfield Fire Company's 100th Anniversary |
In the very near future, I plan to introduce a resolution congratulating the Linfield Fire Company in Montgomery County on its 100th anniversary. After a disastrous fire that completely destroyed the Sanitary Company of America’s foundry, the Linfield Fire Company was established by a group of concerned citizens in October of 1913. Since that time, the Linfield Fire Company has greatly expanded and is now housed in its third location, approximately 35 miles north-west of Philadelphia in Limerick Township. The Linfield Fire Company consists of twenty-six volunteers that help assist people and protect property during a fire or disaster. I believe it is fitting that the House of Representatives join Montgomery County residents in admiring and appreciating the Linfield Fire Company for serving the community for 100 years. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution. |
