Subject: | Resolution Honoring Korean War Veterans During the 60th Anniversary Reunion in Lycoming County |
In the very near future, I will be introducing a resolution honoring all Korean War veterans during the 60th anniversary reunion sponsored by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, Inc., on July 25 through 27 of 2013. The Korean War began on June 25, 1950, and continued until an armistice was signed by the United States, North Korea, South Korea, and China on July 27, 1953. During the war, over six million American troops served bravely, and approximately 33,700 American troops lost their lives in battle. The Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, Inc., are hosting a three-day reunion for anyone who served in the military between June 1950 and January 1955. This reunion honors the selfless sacrifices of veterans who fought in Korea in order to ensure the freedom and prosperity we enjoy today. Please join me in honoring and recognizing the significant and enduring accomplishments of all Korean War veterans by co-sponsoring this resolution. |
