Subject: | Resolution recognizing October 21 through 25 as "National Medical Assistants Recognition Week" in Pennsylvania and celebrating the important healing and care done by medical assistants in the Commonwealth |
In the near future I will introduce a resolution to recognize and thank a profession that does important work within the medical community, but typically receives little recognition and thanks. The resolution will provide a bit of appreciation to medical assistants who daily help the healing process. It will do so by recognizing October 21 through 25 as “National Medical Assistants Recognition Week” in Pennsylvania and celebrating the important healing and care done by medical assistants. Both the American Medical Technologists (AMT) and the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) recognize the week of October 21 through 25 as National Medical Assistants Recognition Week to promote the important work done by medical assistants. This work includes a multitude of administrative and clinical tasks. Doctors view medical assistants as vital partners that increase medical office productivity and provide efficient and caring service to all patients. Therefore, for all those reasons and more I will offer this resolution. I hope you will join with me in showing your appreciation to the good work done by thousands of medical assistants in the Commonwealth by cosponsoring and supporting the resolution. Thank you. |
