Subject: | Firefighter Daniel Sweeney Memorial Highway |
In the near future, I will be introducing legislation that would name a section of State Route 1001 between Rhawn and Kendrick Streets in honor of a firefighter, Daniel Sweeney. At the age of 25, Mr. Sweeney had served almost six years with the Philadelphia fire department and received two commendations for his heroism on the job. Mr. Sweeney died on Monday, April 9, 2012, while fighting a five-alarm fire in Kensington. He lost his life as a result of a collapsing wall and roof. Please help to honor one of our fallen firefighters with your support to name this section of State Route 1001 as the “Firefighter Daniel Sweeney Memorial Highway.” Thank you. |
Introduced as HB2428
