Subject: RESOLUTION: RECOGNIZING WORLD TENNIS DAY IN PENNSYLVANIA
 
In the near future, I intend to introduce a resolution formally recognizing Tuesday, March 10, 2015 as “World Tennis Day” in our Commonwealth.

Launched by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and StarGames in 2013, the purpose of World Tennis Day is to promote the sport of tennis and increase participation among players around the globe, with over 60 nations already confirmed to take part this year.

Therefore, I would like to encourage both our General Assembly and our Commonwealth to embrace the concept of World Tennis Day through our collective support and our individual grassroots initiatives and club activities to attract new participants to the sport.

If you also share this desire, I ask that you please join me in recognizing Tuesday, March 10, 2015 as World Tennis Day in Pennsylvania.
