Subject: | Resolution Honoring Harcum College Centennial |
In the near future, Representative Briggs and I plan to introduce a resolution honoring the Centennial Anniversary of Harcum College, an independent associate degree granting college with a coeducational enrollment of approximately 1,600 students in Bryn Mawr, PA. Harcum College was founded in 1915 by Edith Hatcher Harcum as a school for women, and in 1955 became the first junior college in Pennsylvania to offer associate’s degrees in arts and sciences. The College admitted men in 2003 and today offers degrees in nursing, health, business, and social sciences. The Harcum College Centennial Celebration will run throughout 2015 with a host of special events for students, alumni, and the general public. Please join us in recognizing this milestone in the history of Harcum College and its long-standing contribution to our community. |
