Subject: | Designate September 11, 2015 as Keystone Wounded Warrior Day in Pennsylvania |
In the near future, we will introduce legislation designating September 11th as Keystone Wounded Warrior Day in Pennsylvania. Returning home is challenging for every service member, veteran and family member. As our service members return home to their families, it is critical that we recognize all wounds of war—both visible and invisible—and support our service men and women, who repeatedly put their lives in danger to protect our freedoms. Founded in 2009, Keystone Wounded Warriors aids Pennsylvania’s Wounded Warriors by raising public awareness and seeking the public’s support for programs and services that assist our Wounded Warriors as they transition back to civilian life. My resolution designates September 11th as Keystone Wounded Warrior Day in Pennsylvania and encourages the citizens of this great Commonwealth to volunteer and support groups, such as Keystone Wounded Warriors, to ensure that the many sacrifices of our brave service men and women are not forgotten. Please join us in co-sponsoring this very important legislation to encourage our citizens to support Pennsylvania’s Wounded Warriors as they return to civilian life. |
