| Subject: | Resolution Recognizing the Democratic State Committee Latino Task Force, Latino Caucus and its Members |
| In observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing the Democratic State Committee Latino Task Force, Latino Caucus and its members. More than 838,000 Latinos reside in Pennsylvania comprising nearly seven percent of the overall population. With a growing population, Latinos have a rapidly growing role and make valuable contributions in the cultural, social, economic, and political life of Pennsylvania. Recognizing this, the Democratic State Committee created the Latino Task Force in order to launch the Pennsylvania Democratic Latino Caucus. In June 2015, the Latino Caucus and its inaugural executive board members were established. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution to recognize the Democratic State Committee Latino Task Force, Latino Caucus and its members and acknowledge the incredible contributions they have made to this Commonwealth.
