MEMORANDUM

Posted: November 17, 2015 03:17 PM
From: Representative Jeffrey P. Pyle
To: All House members
Subject: Resolution Honoring Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle

In the very near future, I will be introducing a resolution honoring Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle.

Petty Officer Kyle served four tours in the Iraq War and was awarded several commendations for acts of heroism and meritorious service in combat. He also was the recipient of the following:
  • Two Silver Stars
  • Five Bronze Stars
  • One Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals
  • Two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals
  • Numerous other unit and personal wards

Petty Officer Kyle was called on every day to make life-and-death decisions on many battlefields and his loyalty to our flag and commitment to liberty and justice for all stands as a reminder to all of us of the uncommon courage that our fearless warriors display.

Chief Petty Officer Kyle is one of the legions of valiant warriors who made the ultimate commitment to our country, but was tragically killed on American soil on February 2, 2013.

In honor of all those who serve this great country, past, present and future, my resolution commemorates the life, nobility and sacrifice of Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle.

Please join me in honoring a great American hero who was the epitome of liberty and freedom.

Thank you.
