Subject: | 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service |
In the near future we plan to introduce a resolution commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the National Park Service. The National Park Service manages 18 National Parks in Pennsylvania, hosting over 9 million visitors each year. We are fortunate to have the Valley Forge National Historical Park on the edge of our legislative districts and know many of you have districts contiguous to or containing a part of a National Park. Also, we along with many of our constituents have greatly enjoyed the Parks across the Commonwealth and Nation and this resolution is a fitting call to them for their work on this their centennial anniversary. Please join us in cosponsoring this resolution. Please note that the United States Conference of Mayors has passed a similar resolution and multiple states that have National Parks are doing likewise as well. If you have any questions please contact Joni Mitchell in my office jmitchel@pahousegop.com. |
