Subject: | Honoring Alexis Brown, Comptroller's Retirement |
At the end of today, I will be introducing a resolution that will be honoring Alexis A. Brown, Comptroller of the House of Representatives, who is retiring after 41 years of service to this Commonwealth. Ms. Brown has provided resolute leadership and service as an elected Officer of the House of Representatives since her October 1997 election as Comptroller. As Comptroller, Alexis’ role was instrumental in the development of the Legislative Financial System, the Travel Expense System, and the Legislative Payroll System that is currently utilized by all Members of the House of Representatives and staff. Her prior work experience included serving in a variety of positions as a Data Analyst for the Legislative Data Processing Center, Assistant Personnel Supervisor for the Chief Clerk’s Office, Management Systems Director for the Bipartisan Management Committee, and Payroll Assistant for the Comptroller’s Office. As Management Systems Director for the Bipartisan Management Committee, Alexis oversaw the first installation of the air-blown fiber optic infrastructure for the Capitol Complex, which is currently used in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Please join me as we honor Ms. Brown for the faithful performance of her statutorily defined duties and her personal dedication to House members and staff. If you have any questions regarding this resolution, please contact Danielle in my office by email at dbrown@pahouse.net or by telephone at 783-3815. |
