Subject: | Condolence Resolution – Honoring the Life of William Campbell, Revered Businessman and Philanthropist |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a condolence resolution honoring the life of William “Coach” Campbell, revered businessman and philanthropist. On April 18, 2016, William Campbell passed away from cancer at the age of 75. He was a much respected businessman and advisor and mentor to some of the top executives at several Silicon Valley technology firms including Apple, Amazon and Google. While excelling in his work, Bill also gave back to his community in Palo Alto, CA and particularly to his hometown community of Homestead and the Steel Valley School District. Mr. Campbell’s legacy is multi-faceted from serving as Board Chairman at his alma-mater Columbia University, to mentoring venture capitalists and executives from tech. firms to having millions of dollars donated to various youth and education projects and charitable organizations through his Campbell Education and Community Foundation. Bill touched many throughout his life while also shaping the executives in an industry that interlinks all of America. I hope that you will join me in honoring the life and memory of William Campbell. Thank you. |
