Subject: | Brain Tumor Awareness Month |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing May as Brain Tumor Awareness Month. The purpose of this resolution is to raise awareness and promote greater understanding of the disease. Every day, 500 people across the United States are diagnosed with a brain tumor, and 4,300 children will be diagnosed with a brain tumor this year. Some symptoms of brain tumors include headaches that do not resolve or reoccur, vision problems, difficulty with balance, hearing or speech, confusion, seizures and personality or behavior changes. I hope you will join me in raising awareness of this important matter. |
