Subject: | Co-sponsor: Requiring all licensees under BPOA to report convictions |
In the near future, I plan to re-introduce House Bill 209 from the 2015-16 Session. The legislation will require all licensees under the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs (BPOA) to report convictions within 30 days. Currently, the laws vary on the reporting requirement; however, each board under BPOA will consider certain convictions as not complying with licensure requirements. To provide consistency and to better protect the public of the Commonwealth, I will be proposing that this requirement be streamlined and apply to every licensee under BPOA equally. If you have any questions, or need any additional information, please call Margaret Tricarico at 717-772-5568; Democratic Extension 6168 or email: mtricarico@pahouse.net.
