Subject: | Resolution to Study Paving and Concrete Materials |
Recently, several construction projects were undertaken in my Legislative District. While there was much excitement at the time of their completion, that excitement has now turned to frustration and anger. Roughly one year after the projects were completed, the concrete is failing. The surface is now pitted and a sight for sore eyes. Only one year later and it’s back to the drawing board to figure out what materials were used and why they are not holding up under the local climate. In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution asking a PennDOT to utilize their Master Services Agreement with Penn State University to investigate:
Newly completed construction projects should not be failing after only one year. This is unacceptable. This limited lifespan reflects poorly upon PennDOT and those who advocated for the projects advancement. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution. |
