Subject: | Co-Sponsorship: Retired research animals for adoption |
At the request of the U. S. Humane Society and one of my constituents, I will be re-introducing legislation which will allow for research animals to be adopted upon completion of the studies that they were participating in. The language is based on legislation already passed in Minnesota, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Nevada and New York to give healthy dogs and cats a chance of finding a loving home when they are no longer needed for research. Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation. Previous co-sponsors: READSHAW, BARBIN, B. O'NEILL, WATSON, BARRAR, PASHINSKI, BIZZARRO, DAVIS, DONATUCCI, W. KELLER, KULIK, J. McNEILL, MILLARD, SCHLOSSBERG, THOMAS, YOUNGBLOOD, DRISCOLL, FRANKEL, GILLEN, RAVENSTAHL and PHILLIPS-HILL |
Introduced as HB238
