Subject: | Designating the week of April 1-5, 2019 as "Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week "in Pennsylvania |
In 1993, a group of students wanted to find a way to manifest support and appreciation of the contributions of graduate students. Their effort led to a cooperative initiative called National Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week. Every year, the National Association of Graduate and Professional Students (NAGPS) designates one week as Graduate and Profession Student Appreciation Week. This is a week- long celebration for young professional as they begin their careers. It seeks to emphasize the contributions, impact and value of graduate and professional students on campuses throughout the United States. I believe it is important to honor these distinguished students who have pursued advanced degrees and will soon make great contributions that will benefit Pennsylvania and our society as a whole. Please join me in designating the week of April 1-5, 2019 as "Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week" in Pennsylvania. Let’s stand by the efforts and accomplishments of the next generation of young professionals. |
