Subject: | Bridge Naming - SFC Randy McCaulley Memorial Bridge |
I am seeking your support for legislation that will designate a bridge on PA State Route 286 over Crooked Creek in Rayne Township, Indiana County, as the SFC Randy McCaulley Memorial Bridge. SFC Randy McCaulley served 22 years, first with the Army, and then the PA National Guard. After receiving retirement papers, he chose to deploy with his unit to Iraq. SFC McCaulley served with the I and II Marine Expeditionary Force in Iraq under the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team. He was wounded while leading an eight member PA Guard Patrol that came under small-arms fire in Mudiq, Iraq. On March 23, 2006, SFC Randy McCaulley died, paying the supreme sacrifice for his nation in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Please join me in honoring and remembering our hometown hero, SFC Randy McCaulley. |
