Subject: | Resolution Designating October 19, 2019, as “Chester County Clean Energy Day” |
More than 5,000 Chester County residents work in clean and renewable energy jobs, while more than 3,500 work in the energy efficiency sector. These are all well-paying jobs that cannot be outsourced. By increasing our commitment to clean energy, even more of these jobs could be created not only in Chester County, but throughout our Commonwealth and nation. Chester County continues to be a statewide leader in clean and renewable energy, which is why I will be introducing a resolution designating October 19, 2019, as “Chester County Clean Energy Day” in Pennsylvania. On October 19, those who are interested in learning more about clean and renewable energy and Chester County’s role in its future are welcome to participate in the Chester County Clean Energy Open House Tour with businesses and homeowners who utilize sources of clean energy. Please join me in supporting this resolution. |
