Subject: | National Days of Prayer and Remembrance |
On September 11, 2001, the United States was victim to the worst terrorist attacks in our nation’s history. Almost 3,000 people died that day, including 414 first responders and emergency workers who risked their lives and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Every year, the National Days of Prayer and Remembrance are observed on the days leading up to and including the anniversary of September 11, 2001. This annual commemoration is a time of reflection to honor the victims and heroes of the terrorist attacks that occurred that day. To express our gratitude to the fallen and exemplify our unity with the country, I will be introducing a resolution that will formally recognize the National Days of Prayer and Remembrance in Pennsylvania in 2020. Please join me in co-sponsoring this important resolution. |
