Subject: Resolution Recognizing May 2020 as "Foster Care Awareness Month"
 
We plan to introduce a resolution that recognizes May 2020 as "Foster Care Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

Maintaining a family unit is not always possible with families in crisis and sometimes children must be placed in a safe and nurturing family environment outside of their own home. Foster families play a vital role in helping children and families heal and reconnect by providing a primary source of love, identity, self-esteem and support which is the very foundation of our communities and this Commonwealth.

Please join me us co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation
