Subject: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Awareness Month
 
I plan on re-introducing a resolution to recognize September 2020 as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Month in Pennsylvania. Children born of mothers who consume any alcohol during pregnancy can be affected by FASD, a group of mental, physical and neurological birth defects.

Preventing FASD is simple: there is no safe amount of alcohol that can be consumed during pregnancy.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution to help raise awareness about FASD and its prevention, identification and treatment.
