Subject: | Corporal Harry A. Wagner Memorial Bridge Designation |
Please join me in cosponsoring legislation to designate a bridge, identified as Bridge Key 23789, carrying Pennsylvania Route 93 over Nescopeck Creek, Sugarloaf Township, Luzerne County, as the Corporal Harry A. Wagner Memorial Bridge. Corporal Harry A. Wagner, a native of Nescopeck, gave his life in service to his country during World War I. Corporal Wagner enlisted in the United States Army on June 30, 1917, at 18 years of age. He then served in Company I, 13th Infantry of the Pennsylvania National Guard. On October 3, 1918, Corporal Wagner was killed in action. He received the Great War for Civilization Medal for his service. Please join me in honoring the life of this young veteran who was killed in action fighting in World War I. Thank you for your consideration. |
