Subject: Mandatory AED In Every State Building (Former HB158)
 
In the near future, I will be reintroducing legislation that would make it mandatory that every state building be equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED).

An AED is a portable device that analyzes the heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to try to re-establish an effective rhythm. AEDs are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest, a condition in which the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating.
