Subject: | School Based Behavioral Health Assistance |

Additionally, a behavioral health representative may also utilize early intervention services for students to deal with grief, trauma, anger, anxiety, or sadness. A public school who allows a behavioral health representative to interact with their students is required to develop a policy and plan to provide social and mental support services for all students and enter into a memorandum of understanding with the behavioral health assistance entity with which the behavioral health representative is affiliated or employed; the policy should including parental and legal guardian communication plans. I hope you will join me in supporting this important piece of legislation. |
